Xbox 360 Wireless or Powerline?

July 18, 2010

I moved into my house about 6 months ago and have been going back and forth about how to connect my Xbox 360 so that I can play on Xbox live. I live in a split level home in which my Router is on the right side 2nd floor of my house (my office) and my Xbox is in my living room which is on my first floor (opposite side of my house). I thought about running a wire through my house, but it’s just too far. I’d hate to go wireless because I hate the lag as is with a regular connection. Would the netgear/Linksys/Belkin Power line be a good option? Are the speeds consistent?

I currently have Verizon DSL & a Netgear RangeMax Router.

Thanks

Can I transmit video from one room in my house to another via my home's powerlines? Works 4 my net connection.

The problem with wireless is, its slower, and if the signal is going through that many walls and a floor, you probably wont get a signal altogether. Using a cable gives you a much faster connection, and guarantees that you connect.
